This information display device is provided with: a communication control unit comprising a communication unit that communicates with an information transmission and reception medium by non-contact communication, a transmission and reception unit that receives display information from the information transmission and reception medium via the communication unit, and an electric power conversion unit that converts an electromagnetic wave received by the communication unit to electric power; a display control unit comprising a recording unit that records the display information received by the transmission and reception unit, a voltage monitoring unit that monitors the voltage of the electric power supplied from the electric power conversion unit; and a display drive unit; and a display unit the display of which is updated by the display drive unit according to the display information recorded by the recording unit.
