To provide a weak basic anion exchange resin having a tertiary amine group as an anion exchange group and less in content of quaternary ammonium group.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a weak basic anion exchange resin with improved basicity, including irradiating a micro wave with frequency of 2.4 to 2.5 GHz to a weak basic anion exchange resin having a ratio of ion exchange capacity of a quaternary ammonium group (eq/L-R) to total ion exchange capacity of an amine group and a quaternary ammonium group (eq/L-R) (quaternary ammonium group/(total of amine group and quaternary ammonium group) of 0.03 to 0.2.SELECTED DRAWING: None
