The present invention relates to a method for preparing an adsorbent for removing heavy metals and to an adsorbent for removing heavy metals prepared therefrom. Additionally, the present invention relates to a method for purifying heavy metal contaminated soil using the heavy metal removal adsorbent. The method for preparing the adsorbent for removing heavy metals according to the present invention and the adsorbent for removing heavy metals prepared therefrom are more efficient in producing washing water for soil purification as compared to the related art in the form of fibers, and are excellent in regeneration efficiency, and at low cost. Not only can it secure price competitiveness to purify heavy metal contaminated soil, but it can also be applied to wastewater, so that it is possible to provide an adsorbent for removing heavy metals with versatility.
