Provided herein are chemically toughened glass articles having a thickness of up to 0.07 mm, and methods of making the articles. When the toughened glass article is inspected under reflected light using a white light source, the toughened glass article does not have an optical orange skin (OOS), that is, the toughened glass article has a low gray color. It has level fluctuations or low brightness fluctuations.
