Memory access control through the permissions specified in the page table entry for the execution domain

A system, apparatus, and method related to a computer system having a page table entry containing a permission bit for a memory access of a predefined type made by execution of a routine in a predefined domain is described. Page table entries can be used to map virtual memory addresses to physical memory addresses. In response to the routine accessing the virtual memory address, a permission bit corresponding to the execution domain and memory access type of the routine may be extracted from the page table entry to determine whether to deny memory access.
