PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a conveyor belt or a rubber crawler, which is excellent in wear resistance and cut resistance. SOLUTION: A rubber component containing a styrene-butadiene rubber, syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene, and optionally a petroleum hydrocarbon resin, a terpene resin, a terpene-aromatic compound resin, a rosin resin, Dicyclopentadiene-based resin, alkylphenol-based resin, kumaron-inden copolymer resin, phenol-acetylene-based resin, and resin components selected from these modified resins, and optionally aroma-based oil, paraffin-based oil, and naphthen-based resin. It contains oil and an oil component selected from vegetable oils, and the content of the syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene is 2 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
