PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite structure useful as a heat storage body or the like, which is excellent in temperature rise characteristics, has high mechanical strength, and can stably exhibit heat storage performance. SOLUTION: An internal structure part 2 made of a metal material, a seamless outer shell part 4 made of ceramics containing silicon carbide as a main component, and an internal structure part 2 and an outer shell part 4 are included. Between the intermediate layer 6 formed of a material such as boron nitride or carbon, and (i) between the internal structure 2 and the intermediate layer 6, or (ii) the intermediate layer 6 and the outer shell 4.
