PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pigment dispersion capable of achieving both glossiness and light resistance in an ink for inkjet printing. Further, the present invention provides an ink for inkjet printing using the aqueous pigment dispersion and a printed matter using the ink for inkjet printing. The present invention is an aqueous pigment dispersion containing a pigment, water, and resin particles, and in the particle size distribution of the resin particles, the abundance ratio of particle diameters of 20 to 60 nm is 50 to 80% as Category 1. The water-based pigment is characterized in that, as Category 2, the abundance ratio of a particle size of 100 to 300 nm is 10 to 30%, and the total abundance ratio of Category 1 and Category 2 is 70% or more with respect to the entire particle size distribution.
