Transmitting-mechanism.-Relates to the gcverning of Corliss and other steam engines, and consists of means whereby the adjustment effected by the governor is quickened or multiplied. On the ordinary governor lever B is pivoted a double supplementary lever C, one end of which is connected by an adjustable link D to a fixed bracket 0, and the other is attached to the connecting-rod E by which the valve gear or throttle valve is controlled.
