Ordnance, examining.-Consists of a pair of rotatable chucks C, D, in which the gun is centered, while a feeler roller G enters the bore and indicates any irregularity by the movement of the pointer e of the journalled bar E carrying the feeler roller. The pointer e preferably stands near the tapering edge h of the plate H, which is arranged to slide with the bar E in connection with the external finger I, thereby showing up to what point of the gun the feeler roller has advanced. The feeler roller G is connected to the bar E, in the manner shown in Fig. 5, so as to allow it to follow the surface of the gun.
