Delivery apparatus.-Relates to apparatus for delivering sheets of paper from a paper-making, paper-cutting, or like machine, and piling them in compartments side by side on a table g. The sheets are conducted from the machine between an endless apron a and a series of endless tapes d passing over guiding and stretching rollers e as shown, the end rollers e being provided with convex collars for keeping the tapes in the proper position on the apron a on which they press, and by which they are driven. At the delivery end of the tapes and apron is a roller or shaft l fitted with a number of adjustable conical or slightlyconcave bosses k, which are set at such a distance apart that the lateral portions of each sheet bare supported on a pair of bosses, and the sheet b is curved in the manner shown in Fig. 3 before being projected into its proper compartment on the table g. The compartments on the table g are separated by partitions h, which are adjustable along a longitudinal slot in the table, and have their edges nearest the shaft l tapered to facilitate the admission of the sheets to the compartments. The table is also provided with stops j for supporting the forward edges of the sheets.
