13,755. Calico Printers' Association and Wilson, W. W. July 6. Printing fabrics.-Relates to a machine by which the piece may be printed, covered, and padded in one continuous operation. The fabric to be printed is passed between the bowl d and any suitable number of engraved printing and covering rollers f1,f2,f3,f4, thence round a series of steamheated drying-cylinders g1, g2, g3, g4, g5, and then back to the bowl d under a second series of printing-rollers f5, f6, f7, f8. A blanket b passes round the bowl d under the fabric a. A drying-chamber may be used in place of the drying-cylinders, and the cloth may be heated with formaldehyde vapour or dusted with bronze &c. powder in this chamber. A second drying-apparatus may be provided, and the fabric led from it back to the bowl d a second time.
