Phonograph and like sound recording instruments. - Relates to means for automatically stopping a gramophone and lifting and returning the reproducer to the initial position on the completion of the reproduction. The record disc a is provided with a metal contact b, or a recess to receive a contact, at the end of the record. This contact forms one end of an electric circuit, the other end being arranged in connection with the stylus c. The circuit includes a lifting - magnet and returning-plane acting on the reproducer support. The arrangement of the contacts may be varied.
