19,192. Stevens, G. J. Sept. 26. Blind - stitching machines; overedgestitching machines; ornamental sewing machines.- Relates to attachments for felling or blindstitching, serging, stoating, fancy and ornamental stitching, &c., and consists of an improved operative connection from the needle - bar for the attachment described in Specification No. 6632, A.D. 1901. Fig. 4 shows a view of the attachment looking towards the inner side of the needle-bar. Links C, C1, pivoted in a bracket B, carry a bar F on one side of which is secured a bar D connected to the usual needle-bar set-screw by a link D2, and on the other side a depending arm F1 which engages in a hole in the " butterfly " operating - plunger described in the above referred-to Specification. Pins f, f1 extending through the bar F engage holes in the bar D on one side, and in a slot in the arm F1 on the other. Set-screws f2 clamp the bar D and arm F1 in place. The link D2 is made in two parts connected by a right and left handed screwed sleeve, so that its length can be adjusted, and further necessary adjustments are made by shifting the arm F1 on the pins f, f1, or by using a bar D with its end D1 at a different level. The end of the bar D is bent back on itself to support the pin d3, and the inner end of the link D2 is slotted, and recessed to take the head of the needle-bar set-screw.
