7950. Bier, J. M., and Bier, G. April 4. Bobbin holders.-Relates to sticky fly-catchers, and consists in means for ensuring that the string or the like shall be properly coated with composition. The Specification describes several forms of the device. In one form, the band to be coated is coiled within a reel, composed of a bent strip of metal, the ends of which extend vertically downwards to form a guide, and are then bent upwards near the sloping sides of the container, to occupy the position of the plates c, Fig. 1, which represents a form of the device in which the reel and guide are not used. The guide is perforated, and composition is forced through it on to the band, when cords, such as d, fixed to the tops of the upwardly bent parts are pulled. These cords pass through guides on the outer surface of the reel and are adapted to support the device. In another form, several bands pass from reels through the container, which is made of thin metal, so that its walls can be pressed inwards to cause the adhesive to press on the bands.
