An Improved Method of Attaching a Cock or Stop-valve to a Pipe.

T a p s o r valves and pipes, connecting.-The metal socket A containing the non-return valve B is fixed to the pipe, and the cock or stop valve is screwed into the socket A. The cock or valve is screwed until contact is made with the stem F and the valve B opened. The spring C which closes the valve B is arranged between the central solid part of the socket A and the head or cross-bar attached to the stem F. The cock can be removed for repairs or renewal without emptying the pipe of the liquid it contains.
