Improvements in Apparatus for Moulding and Casting Rice-bowls and the like Hollow and Flatware

Moulding.-In the moulding of rice bowls and like hollow or flat ware, as many patterns and flasks e are placed on a turnover table g as the table will accommodate, and the sand is rammed in. A frame c sliding in a plate a fastened to the flasks is then moved to bring rollers d2 on a shaft d over the runner patterns f, to hold them in place while the table is turned over. The flasks a r e received on a trolley on a rising head, which is lowered so that the trolley can be withdrawn. The runner patterns f are then released by sliding back the frame c, and are of sufficient weight to fall out of the mould. The shaft d is carried by a bridge c2 on the frame, and the rollers can be pressed against the runner patterns by a screw and hand-wheel on the bridge.
