Ornamental effects.-Electric incandescent lamps, having straight filaments extending between end contacts, are supported end to end in a long troughshaped reflector, the edges of which are provided with tubular conduits for the supply wires, by drawing, rolling, or otherwise. The lamps are preferably supported so that the filaments are in the plane of the edges of the reflector. The whole appliance may be enclosed in a large glass tube, plugged at the ends, to render it waterproof. It is applicable for illuminations, and especially for outlining buildings. The appliance may be used with vapour or other electric lamps instead of filament lamps.
