Slabs; tiles.-Walls, partitions, tanks, reservoirs, and linings for these structures, are made of slabs or plates having wedge-shaped fillets and grooves at their edges, so as to allow the cementing-material to be run in between them. The fillets b, which are preferably formed on the lower edge and one of the side edges of the slab, enter the grooves a in adjacent slabs. The edges of the slabs are preferably bevelled on each side c of the grooves a, and small fillets for strengthening the slaos may be formed in the grooves. The slabs may be made of layers of different materials, and may contain a layer of waterproofing-material, such as pitch, arranged between cement or like layers. A wall is built up of two or more layers of these slabs.
