Driving-gear for screw propellers and paddlewheels steering by paddle-wheels.-The driving wheel or wheels of a motor cycle or car drive a friction drum or drums 2 on a shaft 1, which may be the shaft of the paddle-wheels or be geared to the screw-propeller shaft 4. The shaft 1 is fitted with clutches, so that one or both paddle-wheels may be disconnected.
