Pills; capsules; suppositories.-Relates to means for making ovules, suppositories, capsules, pilules, and similar preparations, so that they may be free from the contamination of germs and capable of being preserved for a long time. The preparation is enclosed in an envelope preferably of gelatoglycerine ; but other fatty and saponaceous bodies may be employed. Gelato-glycerine is poured into a mould, which is then immediately reversed for the still-liquid portion to run away, leaving a solid coating in the mould. The medical preparation is then run into the mould, and the opening in the mould is closed with gelato-glycerine. The envelope is removed immediately before the preparation is to be used. The Specification describes several methods for rendering the envelope readily detachable.
