Bottle stands for bars.-A receptacle for holding opened bottles containing beer, wine, spirits, mineral water, or the like, in bars, consists of a central partition C, Fig. 2, two end pieces, and a top A and bottom B. The bottom is fitted with a number of springs G on each side of the partition, each of which enters the usual recess at the bottom of a bottle and forces up the bottle with its neck against a plug or stopper L, thereby stoppering the bottle. The plugs L are constructed of, or are faced with rubber, cork, leather, or other resilient material; they are arranged to pass through, and be retained in position by, a wood, vulcanite, or other fitting D, which is fixed by screws or nails to the top A and provided with a recess F for the passage of the bottle necks to the stoppers L. The receptacle or holder is made of wood or other material of a rectangular, circular, polygonal, or other form ; the holder may be placed on a stand to rest or revolve thereon, and, in this case, the partition C may be in the form of a pillar.
