Injectors.-With the view to lightness and to the prevention of the breakage of the jet or column of the injector when used on a motor vehicle in motion to replenish the boiler, the injector shown in longitudinal section in Fig. 1 is employed. The water inlet appears at 2, [the steam inlet at 3, the boiler outlet at 4, and the overflot at 5. Extending through the steam chamber 6 is the double steam-tube, the portion 8 of which forms the lifter and the portion 9 the forcer. The combining-tube 10 empties into the discharge chamber 12, which, by the channel 13, communicates with an opening in the controlling-cock 14. The portion 9 opens to the water chamber 15 opposite the delivery tube 19, which has the spill-slot 17 for carrying off the initial overflow to the chamber 18, which delivers to the cock 14. The delivery tube opens both to the boiler and the cock. The latter is so constructed that it cuts off in succession the passages 15, 18, 19, when the jet of water will pass by the outlet 4 to the boiler. To regulate the quantity of water, the adjustable valve 20 is provided.
