18,123. Wyatt, C. Aug. 21. Traps for sparrows, rats, &c. consist of a cylindrical casing a of wire netting, in the top and sides of which are conical openings b. Within the casing, is a conical partition e, with an opening e' in the apex, through which the trapped birds pass into the space a2 and are removed through the hole or door f. The openings are at such a height as to necessitate the birds extending their wings in attempting to escape.
