Tube-plates.-The tube sheets or plates of return-tube or other firetube boilers have flat perforated lower parts 13 to receive the ends of the tubes 11, and bulged convex upper portions 14 with horizontal connecting-shelves 15. Each plate has a cylindrical flange 16 riveted to the shell 10.
