Fulling.-To ensure that the creases or folds formed in the goods shall continually shift their position during fulling, the pairs of working rollers a, b, Fig. 7, and c, d are corrugated in opposite directions, and driven at different speeds. In one arrangement, the rollers a, bare corrugated circumferentially and the rollers c, d transversely to the circumference, the raised portions of one of each pair coming opposite the recesses in the other. In another arrangement, shown in Fig. 1, all the rollers are corrugated in the direction of their shafts, the raised parts of a roller of one pair being opposite the recessed parts of the corresponding roller of the other pair. The tension of a belt g which drives the roller b from the roller d is adjusted, to vary the relative speeds of the rollers, by a tension pulley h carried by an adjustably-weighted lever i. Stretching, or accumulation of the goods, between the rollers can thus be effected.
