Feed-motions.-A conical roller A is used in con. junction with a cylindrical roller D to feed timber E of irregular section to moulding or other machines. The side thrust is taken by a flange B placed on one of the rollers, the fence 0 being recessed to admit the flange. The flange is preferably placed on the conical roller and made detachable, to allow short pieces of roller to be introduced, so as to increase the length of the roller and adapt it for various sections of wood.
