Folding boxes.-Collapsable round or oval boxes for muffs, hats, millinery, collars, &c. are made from cardboard, leatherboard, and the like, and comprise a body and two ends. The body Àa, Fig. 1, is formed from a rectangular blank, the overlapping ends being secured by fastenings consisting of eyelets b, into which are snapped tongues c, Fig. 4. The rims of the bottom and the top fit inside and outside the body respectively, a cord h, passel through two holes in the bottom f, being tied over the top. The bottom of the box is secured in place by other spring fastenings, and the inner overlapping edge of the body may pass under a flap on the other end. The body may be formed of two thicknesses of material, secured together at one end and provided with an extension, which passes between the two thicknesses at the other end, holes in the extension permitting the ends to be secured by the spring fastenings.
