Motors, controlling.-In Specification No. 13,585, A.D. 1904, a repulsion motor having two pairs of brushes c1, d1 and c2, d2, Fig. 1, arranged upon its rotor R is transformed into an induction motor by the closing of a switch I. The present invention consists in impressing upon the brushes electromotive forces derived from auxiliary coils b1, b2, b3, b4 on the stator S. In this case, to obtain the induction motor it is necessary to close two switches I1, I2. The switch I, Fig. 1, or the switches P, I2, Fig. 2, may be closed automatically by means of a centrifugal governor or the like, the central rod k, Fig. 3, of which is rotated by the motor shaft. The closing of the switches may be effected gradually through resistances or impedances.
