25,425. Jahn, A. Nov. 22. Writing, teaching.-Relates to stencil plates for teaching writing, in which the excisions a are much wider than the strokes to be made and so formed that one edge b of the excision forms a guide for the pen or pencil, there being n o intermediate connecting-parts, so that the particular character can be formed without lifting the pen from the paper. The edges c not used as guides are undulated so that they may easily be distinguished from the guide-edges b. The plates may be made of metal, celluloid, hard rubber, cardboard, &c. and into all kinds of figures or characters.
