Indicators, route; indicators, departure and arrival.-Relates to route, destination, departure, and arrival indicators, applicable also for advertising, of the type in which a band is wound from one roller on to another as described in Specifications No. 25,115, A.D. 1896, No. 23,283, A.D. 1901, and No. 20,289, A.D. 1903. The rollers are connected together by chain, belt, or bevel gearing ; the upper roller is connected by a spring to its chain-wheel &c., and is arranged so as to be easily removed without disturbing the lower roller and the gearing. In the form shown, the lower roller is fitted with a chain-wheel K, Fig. 5, connected by a chain O to a chain-wheel L, mounted by means of a shouldered boss l, Fig. 6, and collar l1 in a bearing m secured by a plate M to the side of the case. A rectangular pin E1 connected by a spring to the roller E engages recess L' in the wheel L. The other end of the roller E is supported by a pin on its end engaging in a vertical groove formed in a plate secured to the case.. The roller K may be actuated by a handle moving over a circular plate and held in position by a spring pin engaging in holes formed in the plate. The band is exposed behind a transparent plate B in a case A, which may be illuminated internally. Two bands facing opposite ways may be fitted in one case, the four rollers being operated by a chain which engages all the chain-wheels.
