Improvements in Pictorial Postcards, View Books, Almanacks, Show Cards, and the like.

1226. White, E. L. Jan. 21. Picture frames. - Pictorial post cards, view books, almanacs, show cards, &c. are constructed in the form of a frame a, b, Fig. 5, having within it a sliding sheet c which is attached to the inside of the frame by tapes e, fastened at f and d to the sheet c and back b respectively. To these tapes are also attached cards g bearing pictures &c., so that, when the sliding sheet or card c is partly withdrawn as shown, the pictures are displayed and turned over one by one, the reverse movement closing up the whole again. In a modification, a second set of cards i, Fig. 6, are added, and the case h and sheet k are so arranged that, on withdrawal of the sheet at either end, one of the sets of pictures is displayed. Pictures may also be formed on the card c, Fig. 5, and the inside of the back b.
