An Improved Draught and Dust Excluder for Doors

28,303. Downie, H. A. Dec. 27. Draught-excluders. - Consists of a metal casing A bent over at the top, Figs. 1 and 3, and attached to the edge of the door by end-pieces. Supported on two or more guides C1, riveted to the casing, is a bolt B, which, on striking a projection on the doorpost, forces down, through bell cranks D1, a second casing E carrying a rubber strip F and moving in guides c1. The casing E is attached to the levers by eyes e1, and is raised by the spring G when the door is opened. When applied to a double door, one of the bolts is cranked as shown in Fig. 8 and may be fixed by a pin b1. A strip of rubber may be placed between the casing E and the guides c1.
