1258. Thatcher, A. W. Jan. 23. Cans.-Relates to means for expelling paint or any other semi-fluid substance from a can provided with a discharge nozzle. After the can lid has been removed, a disk C of asbestos, cardboard, &c. is placed on the contents, and a frame F, carrying a screw plunger D, is fixed in position by means of one or more screws I. When the screwed cap J has been removed, the paint may be expelled through the nozzle J1 by rotation of the handle L. The arms of the frame F which are not provided with screws I have notches cut in them to receive the projecting bead B.
