11,158. Horrocks, T. May 29. Reamers.-A body part a, Fig. 1, has an extension b which receives a second body part c. Inclined grooves in the body receive blades h, which are clamped in place by nuts c2. A nut d has a small screw or screws with reduced ends adapted to enter holes c3 in the end of the part c and lock the nut in position. The holes afford a means for determining the amount of alteration of the diameter of the reamer. Further means are afforded by the nuts c2, which are stamped round in reverse directions with numbers from 1 upwards according to the number of blades. In operation, the nuts are always rotated to have corresponding numbers opposite a given line. In large reamers the blades may have the outer or cutting portions renewable.
