16,801. Thomson, B. T. L. Aug. 18. Motor read vehicles.-Relates to bodies for motorcars adapted to be removed by sliding off longitudinally. The under parts of the body e, Fig. 1, are provided with dovetail grooves d, preferably of metal, which slide on corresponding guides b fixed on the side frames a of the car. Figs. 2 and 3 show two forms of grooves and guides. The bodies may be locked in position by bolts i passing through the floor of the car and held by nuts or split pins, or other means may be used, such as a hinged bolt or catch fixed upon the bottom or side of the body. The grooves d or guides b may extend along only part of the length of the body or frame.
