The legs i, Fig. 5, are connected to the heid piece a by link connexions d, which are attached to the legs at g and clasp projections b secured to the head. These connecting-links may be dispensed with, and the upper part of the legs secured directly to the projections b. These projections may either be spherical or cylindrical. In the modification shown in Fig. 14, the recessed parts d1 which clasp the projections b are provided with conical or other extensions k which fit into corresponding cavities in the links d, or the protuberances and the recesses may be reversed.
