Teeth, artificial. - For softening the ridges upon trial dentures of wax &c., an instrument is used which is heated and consists of a handle b and a copper &c. blade a, which is straight or shaped to fit a part or the whole of the alveolar ridge, and has upon one or both sides a number of longitudinal, transverse, or s i n u o u s ridges c, or pins or spikes, or any combination thereof.
