Stands for recreation grounds.-Terraces for football and other grounds are provided with a series of sloping members a, Fig. 1, to which are secured, by means of bolts and angled clips c, longitudinal runners d, recessed to embrace the sloping members. The spaces between runners are filled up with earth as indicated in Fig. 1. Crush rails o are carried by T-section standards h fixed to members a by bolts and angle-plates or by bolts passed through the bent-up ends, additional stays k, secured to the runners d, being provided.
