Corrugating; bending.-The apparatus for armouring cables described in Specification No. 8045, A.D. 1899, [Abridgment Class Electricity, Conducting &c.]; is adapted for armouring or making flexible tubes. without the use of a mandrel, by the addition of a guiding-plate 11 to the die 2 which helps to give the inner strip 16 its initial curvature, strengthening - corrugations 18 being formed on the strips 16, 17 by the corrugating and feeding rolls.
