Magic-lantern apparatus.-A vehicle for displaying advertisements or pictures is provided with an horizontal or slightly inclined screen c of wood, metal, canvas, or other material, supported at its corners by vertical rods d working in pillars attached to the body of the vehicle, the screen being held in such a position that the fixed or moving pictures, or advertisements, thrown on the underside by a magic-lantern, bioscope, or kine-. matograph, can be seen by persons in the vicinity of.the vehicle. The body of the vehicle is closed, except for the opening e in the top beneath the screen; the magic-lantern or the like may be placed directly below the opening, or in such a position that the image is projected on to the screen: after reflection by a mirror. The screen can be adjusted in any position by means of the supporting-rods.
