Drying food for animals. - Relates to apparatus by which vegetable substances suspended in the waste water from cornwashing machines are recovered and prepared as food for animals. The water is passed through one or more coarse sieves c and one or more fine sieves f, which allow the muddy water to flow away. The material collected is passed to a press l, which may be replaced by a centrifugal or vacuum drying-apparatus, and thence to a drying- stand m. The material may be packed as powder or formed into cakes.
