Sale apparatus; measured quantities, delivering ; delivery mechanism.-A coin-freed machine for delivering measured quantities of liquid, of the type in which the inserted coin couples the operating - handle with a second handle fixed to the tap, has the measuring-vessel p, Fig. 1, adjustable by means of a piston r and screw q, and provided with a plug cock f having two borings, the upper one connecting the admission pipe, the lower leading to the discharge pipe c. On the plug cock being returned from its resting position by a handlever b, the liquid is discharged into a drinking-cup on a support which through a lever detent holds the lever b till the discharge is completed. Counting- mechanism may be provided. The pressure in the measuring-vessel may be regulated by inserting in the piston r a spring which acts against an adjustable cross-piece u, Fig. 7. The lever b turns loosely on the plug f and has two teeth z passing through similar teeth on a lever g fastened to the plug. Coin action ; coin-discharging mechanism.-A coin passing down the shoot e couples the levers b, g .together, allowing the plug cock to be turned. The coin is held in two spring controlled cheeks i, Fig. 6, connected by a bridge-piece k which comes against a stop o to discharge the coin. This coin trap is pivoted at h to the lever b, and its spring m retracts the lever when the discharge is completed. Fraud, preventing. - Large coins cannot be inserted and small coins pass through the trap.
