Automatic instruments.-In an automatic musical instrument, a pivoted pointer is provided for indicating, on or near the tune-sheet, the division between the treble and base ducts in the tracker bar. The pointer 2 is mounted on a slot 3 extending throughout the length of the tracker bar 8 and is hinged at 4. In the position shown the pointer indicates on the tune-sheet 5 the division between the treble and the base, and it can be turned back to a position which permits of the removal of the rollers. In modifications, the pointer is mounted on the frame of a transparent cover, or it may be so connected to the lever which operates the rewinding- mechanism that it swings clear of the rollers when the lever is moved to the rewind position. A bar carrying the pointer may be used to steady the sheet during rewinding.
