Stoppers.-An appliance for inoculating sterilized broths &c. contained in bottles &c. with microbe cultures consists of a tube B, preferably of aluminium, resting on the mouth of the bottle and closed by a plug c, preferably attached by a wire hinged. The stopper U, which is hinged to a collar f by a link g and is fastened by a stirrup h, and link k, has a rubber plug n, which allows the introduction of a rod to push out the plug c and cause the culture to pass from the tube to the bottle &c. Washers b, o are placed between the neck of the bottle, the tube, and the stopper.
