4997. Taylor, J. March 5. Boiling-pans.-A device for promoting the circulation of the contents of kettles, pans, &c. comprises a cone A with a hollow collar B at the base. Pipes P, P1 from the bottom and top of the hollow space ben eat the cone lead respectively through and from apertures in the base of the cone to the surface. A pipe P2 from the base to the apex of the cone is perforated at C, and may contain a movable pipe F surmounted by a float F1 and perforated at F2.
