Bell clappers; operating-mechanism, hand.- In a cycle bell of the type having two revolving domes and flexible strikers operated from some revolving part, on operation of the spring- controlled trigger, a toothed sleeve 17, which surrounds a socket 9 attached to the base-plate 1, is caused to rotate by means of a toothed segment, thus turning a double ring 23, 24, of which the part 23 has inwardly projecting teeth to engage with those of the sleeve 17. Inwardly projecting cam-teeth on the part 24 cause rotation of a spindle 10 by means of a loose pin 27, Fig. 5. The spindle 10 carries the two domes, and also arms 12, 13, bent as shown, which engage the strikers 7, 8 carried by springs on lugs 3, 4 on each side of the baseplate 1, the strikers being first drawn towards the centre. During the return movement of the trigger, the pin 27 is merely pushed in and out by the cams, and no rotation ensues.
