Utilizing waste india-rubber.-Waste rubber is re-manufactured without grinding or cutting up into pieces, by cutting the rubber approximately to the size and thickness of the heel-pad or other article and reheating in a mould, while under pressure, to a temperature higher than that of vulcanization, for example 300‹ F. The blank is preferably treated with caustic soda or acid.
