摘要
29,286. McKechnie, A., and Beasley, F. G. Dec. 14. Chloridizing; sulphatizing; wet processes of extracting zinc, lead, copper, nickel, tin, antimony, gold, etc.; lixiviating.-Raw or calcined ores, and mattes, metalliferous residues, alloys, &c., particularly those containing iron and one or more other metals such as zinc, lead, copper, nickel, cobalt, tin, antimony, silver, or gold, are treated with the requisite quantity of solvent such as hydrochloric or sulphuric acid to dissolve the non-ferrous metals and with air and steam under pressure at a high temperature whereby the non-ferrous metals only are dissolved; or, a ferrous salt such as ferrous sulphate solution may be used as the solvent, the treatment having the effect of oxidizing and precipitating all the iron of the ferrous salt and giving a solution free from iron. The solution may be treated in any suitable manner to recover the metals. A suitable pressure vessel may be employed having an acid-proof lining, an opening a with a cover a1, a safety valve b, agitator g, and a pipe c having branches d, e for air and steam, and a branch f for an exit for the treated liquor.
