11,900. Katz, A. D. May 13. Dog and like collars.-An adjustable collar for dogs &c., which can be locked, comprises a band a along which slides a plate i with a lock h secured to it. A series of spaced slots f and holes g are made in the band at one end, and a central pin on the lock is inserted through one of the holes g. Fixed to the other end of the band is a hasp plate b, the hasps c of which are adapted to pass through the slots f and to be locked in the slots k of the lock-plate. In a modified form, Fig. 4, the lock-plate n is fixed to the band, and the hasp plate r is provided with slots s, u through which the band a can slide. The hasp and lock-plates may have information &c. engraved on them. A certificate is issued with the collar, and in connexion with the system of registration is employed a double-edged file for marking the animal's claws.
